|
The yacht Collective Spirit stood in pride of place at the Southampton Boat Show which takes place in the middle of September in Mayflower Park and the Marina in Southampton, Hampshire.

An amalgamation of many special wooden artifacts from local people, this yacht certainly celebrates the 'collective spirit'. The craftsmanship and finish of this boat is both beautiful and historical. |

Jenneau Sun Odyssey 509 designed by Philip Briand features a saloon any sailor would be happy to spend time in. Smart and light, this cabin is certainly elegant.

Upholstered seating that doubles as sleeping space when required is functional and comfortable. A versatile table arrangement makes meals and passage planning easy. Modern lines and a warm coloured wood veneer finish create a coordinated interior design with plenty of storage space. |
|
Beneteau's Sense 55 saloon showcases the broad width of this yacht and clean contemporary lines of the yachts design.
This capacious space also includes a lot of storage and a large central table for dining and working.

The clever seating arrangement allows the chart table to be accessed with ease. The stylish Beneteau also has a cherry coloured wood veneer finish like the Jenneau.
The interior is brightened by the cheerful red 'leather look' upholstered seating and a horizontal display of white veneered wood lockers.

The Lagoon 620 saloon and deck has the most amazing layout and interior even for a large catamaran. As you can see from this photograph the Lagoon 620 easily fits 12 people on board in luxury.

The space is enhanced by full use of the deck for dining and relaxing in comfort. Any cook would be happy to cater for their fellow crew members and friends with a galley kitchen that wouldn't look out of place in a modern apartment. We also like the light wood finishes and neutral colour palette enlivened by red accessories. |

This is 'Reggie' the Rhino, part of the Go Rhino project to raise awareness and funds for the significant conservation threat facing wild rhinos.

Reggie from the Go Rhino Project |
|
Reggie seems perfectly suited to the boat show with beautifully painted sailing yachts across his ample sides.
Marwell Zoo is sponsoring this project which is ongoing in the Southampton area. So watch out for more of Reggie's friends popping up around town soon.
