The busy feel of New Year celebrations in January 2011 could be seen in retail displays in London that persuaded us that 'more is more'. Many exciting display pieces were grouped together to form this colourful display in Selfridges window. |

| This window includes designs by young people and raises awareness for the London based charity Kids Company.
Kids Company was founded by Camila Batmanghelidjh in 1996. Kids Company provides practical, emotional and educational support to vulnerable inner-city children. |

Inside Selfridges furniture department colours for the main section are kept to cream and naturals for woods and fabrics. Contrasting textures are emphasised and the theme is extended visually through the department to a bedroom display dressed with champagne coloured cushions. The 'more is more' theme can be seen by layering of many pieces in light neutral tones that make up the whole look. A pale carpeting provides the background for this subtle but elegant and luxurious look. |

'More is more' also applies to dogs as this window at H&M shows! We couldn't resist this window being big 'dog walk' fans too. We like the way there are several mannequins with several 'dogs'. This keeps the balance of this simple but effective display. |

Hamleys get the prize for the cutest window with the most animals this month. We like the whimsical moulded structures. The YooHoo range is a nice idea for a merchandise range. The childrens toys themed as wanna-be characters such as fisherman, spaceman and rock star that to small people are surely just irresistable.
